2012
LIMA was born as the first professionally organized intercollegiate sports competition in Indonesia, paving the way for student-athlete spirit through the sport of Basketball.
2013
LIMA began to expand by adding Futsal and Badminton, and by reaching major cities such as Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya.
2014
The competition format became more structured through the Conference Series and National Series, making LIMA a premier platform for talented university students across Indonesia.
2015
LIMA evolved into a platform for character development, sportsmanship, and student leadership, featuring five sports disciplines.
2016
Live broadcasts on TV and digital platforms became routine, giving student-athletes the opportunity to showcase their talents on national and even international stages.
2017
Content digitalization was strengthened, including the launch of the Student Crew program as a learning space for students in media, broadcasting, and event management.
2018
More LIMA athletes were recruited by professional teams and the national team; collaborations with universities and sponsors grew stronger and more strategic.
2019
LIMA recorded its highest number of university participants and became a benchmark for collegiate sports competitions in Southeast Asia.
2020
The pandemic halted on-ground competitions, but LIMA remained active through virtual content, digital education, and online communities.
2021
Despite physical limitations, LIMA continued to foster the spirit of sportsmanship through webinars and digital content.
2022
LIMA resumed limited-scale Basketball competitions, focusing on rebuilding the ecosystem and reigniting campus enthusiasm.
2023
On-ground events returned across several sports; the competition atmosphere and student-athlete spirit began to recover.
2024
LIMA expanded its reach to more cities and universities, opening new opportunities for talented student-athletes with broader media exposure.
2025
Cross-campus, sponsor, and community collaborations were initiated to build a sustainable competition ecosystem and support the next generation of young athletes.
